Hosting a Roman Samuels House Concert

Thank you for your interest in hosting a house concert. These evenings are some of the most special performances I play. Instead of a noisy bar or crowded venue, house concerts create a small, focused environment where people can truly listen to the songs and connect with the music.

If you enjoy bringing thoughtful people together and creating memorable evenings in your home, hosting a house concert may be a wonderful fit.

Below is a simple guide that explains how the evening works and what hosting involves.

The goal is to keep everything easy, relaxed, and meaningful for everyone involved.

What is a House Concert?

A house concert is an intimate live performance hosted in someone’s living room, backyard, or similar gathering space.

Typically, 20–50 guests are invited for a listening-style concert. Everyone has a seat, the room is quiet during the performance, and the focus is entirely on the music.

Guests arrive, mingle for a short time, and then settle in for an acoustic set lasting about an hour to ninety minutes.

Afterward, everyone has a chance to talk, connect, and enjoy the rest of the evening together.

This is not a “backyard party with music”.

This is a quiet, intimate, private concert in your space for your friends and family.

❋ Intentional Structure

We blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.

❋ Collaborative Energy

Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.

❋ Expert Facilitation

Led by experienced guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.

❋ A Supportive Space

Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.

The Host’s Role

As host, you have the most important role: gather a great group of people.

Think of yourself as the curator of the audience. Invite friends, neighbors, colleagues, or anyone in your circle who appreciates live music and a relaxed, thoughtful evening.

A typical house concert works best with about 20 to 40 guests, though some homes can comfortably hold up to 50.

Because a few people will inevitably cancel, hosts often invite slightly more guests than the room capacity.

The only real requirement is that everyone attending has a place to sit during the performance.

Chairs, couches, stools, and floor cushions all work perfectly.

The room should feel like a comfortable living room theater.
